Sony Xperia C Review: Sony's Rocking Mid-Range Smartphone

Sony's latest mobile is rocking. On this blog will not be able to find detailed reviews as compared to other websites like ndtvgadgets or fonearena because of simple reason , they are not the actual users who have used the mobile for even few hours. Here you will be able to the get the reviews from actual users from flipkart, spandeal and many others and on basis of that a crystal clear buying guidance is provided.

Sony Xperia C is one the latest mobile fron Sony and their first mobile to be operated by a Mediatek. Xperia C has a 5-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) screen which is driven by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor at a clock speed of 1.2GHz

Additional features bundled are 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, front camera, 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card and a battery that Sony promises will be able to sustain through 14 hrs of talk time and 588 hours on stand-by mode.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone provides dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and on the software front.Xperia C operates on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Sony has three variant for Xperia C in black, white and purple color.

Being a Mid-Range Smartphone it has a Stiff Comparision with Samsung Galaxy Grand, HTC Desire 500,Micromax Canvas 4 and Xolo Q1000s but below i have done a comparision of branded phones between Sony Xperia C vs Samsung Galaxy Grand vs HTC Desire

Lets us find out why should you buy Sony Xperia C and what makes it a preferred choice.
First have a look at what Xperia C has to offer

Sony Xperia C Samsung Galaxy GrandHTC Desire 500

In-Built Memory 4GB8GB 4GB

PROCESSOR : MediaTek consumes lesser battery as compared to Qualcomms. If you are not aware then I would tell you that Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos doesnt even have a Qualcomm Processor. It has a Broadcomm processor which is considered to be sub-standard to both Qualcomm and MediaTek.

Screen Size : 5 Inch Screen that too of SONY which has a consistency of providing world class clarity and performance in Display Screen whether it is TV or Smartphone
qHD Screen is an added Advantage in Sony Xperia C

CAMERA : Camera is capable of Capturing 1080p (Full HD) videos where as most phones are capable of only 720p

If you are looking at .3 MP as a Minus Point then think yourself once that how many times you have done a Video Call from your Smartphone. Frankly Speaking i have never done it even though i have a 3G connection. If you use a 2G connection then whether is 2 MP or .3 MP doesn’t make sense because the transfer in video calling is too high and it alteast requires 3G connection. Try Watching Youtube videos on 2G Connection and answer would be in front of you.

MEMORY SPACE : 4 GB in-built Memory is a problem because user accesible memory is after OS and default applications, the remaining space in internal memory is less than 1 GB. I truly consider this as a minus point but the answer is provided by google play. You can download app2share which can transfer from In-built Memory to MicroSD Card

BATTERY : Battery is the most amazing thing of this phone which is presently unable to get in Mid-range smartphones

With all the above specifications and comparison i feel if your budget is around Rs20000 then you should go ahead with Brand Sony's Xperia C

Xperia C is priced at Rs 20005 on Flipkart and Rs 18809 on Amazon
